It has been a while since my last blog. I am going to work on that, tomorrow. lol. Many things have been happening, but I think that the greatest change is a life reflection going on. Sometimes you feel like the direction you are going is correct and good and confrontations you have with others is of course all their fault, humbles you. Negative responses sometimes come out of buried hurt. God did not put vengeance, spite, rudeness etc... on the inside of us. If I can say one thing, do not avoid the "mirror' of the Word of God. It is the life-changing force on the inside of us.

Words to Ponder
A generation of Christians reared among push buttons and automatic machines is impatient of slower and less direct methods of reaching their goals. We have been trying to apply machine-age methods to our relations with God. We read our chapter, have our short devotions, and rush away, hoping to make up for our deep inward bankruptcy by attending another gospel meeting or listening to another thrilling story told by a religious adventurer lately returned from afar. The tragic results of this spirit are all about us. Shallow lives, hollow religious philosophies, the preponderance of the element of fun in gospel meetings, the glorification of men, trust in religious externalities, quasi-religious fellowships, salesmanship methods, the mistaking of dynamic personality for the power of the Spirit; these and such as these are the symptoms of an evil disease, a deep and serious malady of the soul.

Thankful
Well, it has been quite an exciting week. After going to the doctor Wednesday, I discovered I had 2 blood clots in my leg. I am thankful for God's protection and mercy on my life and for all those who have kept me in their prayers. Also, our son , who we lost in 2000, would have been 11 today. He was such a joy in our lives in the short time we had him.

Wow, what a week
Well, this week has been insane. It flew by so fast. It is hard to believe that Christmas is around the corner. God definitely was with me this week because sometimes things go real smooth and sometimes they don't. Guess what week this was ? Had a good chance for patience testing and did I pass every time ? Certainly not. Oh well, His grace is sufficient. Lessons are hard when they become personal. Life has a a way of showing it's muscle sometimes.

At the lake
Today was a great day. Monday is usually intense with work and such and to be able to take a break go to the lake was nice. 1st time attempting to ride a wake board, notice I said attempt was fun. I will get it next time. Moving across the water at 30 mph on a tube was amazing. Sometimes diversions are good to let you know there is more to life than what we do and we serve a great God who created a place for us to enjoy life.

Busy day
As I reflect on today, I realized that without God's wisdom and guidance, we would wander aimlessly. We still have tendencies to seek Him when we need Him and avoid when everything seems to be ok. I heard about a friend today that takes walks and talks to her friends, enjoying and savoring every moment of the day, squeezing the best out of life. Sometimes our lives are filled with anticipation, stress, anxiety and such. Maybe we need to be like my friend, take a walk, enjoy the day
